Mens sana in corpore sano
A sound mind in a sound body

Due to circumstances out of our control, SeaTown Grappling will be shutting down as an organization at the end of February 2020. Our last practice will be Thursday February 13th 2020. We wish to thank the community very much for supporting us throughout these years.

During the month of February there will be no charge for attending our fundamentals classes or regular practices. This is our way of saying goodbye.

Thank you very much.

Fundamentals Class

We have offer a Fundamentals Class on Sunday and Thursday evenings. The Fundamentals Class covers safety, good body mechanics, and the basics of stand up and ground fighting. These classes serve as an introduction for new members and as a time for review for all members.

Fundamentals Class Schedule:
Thursdays  6:30 - 7:30pm
Sundays     6:00 - 7:00pm

If you are interested in starting as a new student, please email Thank you.

Regular Practice

Practices are from 7:00 - 9:00pm on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Monthly dues allows access to all practices. Drop in fees are $20. If a student wishes to compete, a sport-specific membership may be needed (e.g. USJF).

Our goal is to produce well-rounded grapplers. Our practice focuses equally on stand up and ground skills, which include throws, takedowns, chokes, joint locks, and pins. We strive for functionality and continuous growth as individuals and as grapplers.

The club is not a commercial venture; we function as a cooperative. As such, we are a community of individuals with a passion for rolling about on a mat. We require that new members also attend the fundamentals class or have previous experience verified by one of our instructors.
